Consider applying to one of four Representation Executive Council (REC) positions!

REC members are student leaders who have the opportunity to advocate for the needs of students internally to the institution, as well as externally to all levels of government. This is a leadership position where elected representatives will assume their roles full-time over 12 months, and are employees of SAMRU’s Student Governing Board.

REC members achieve significant and impactful advocacy wins during their time in office – student representatives get to vote on policy, participate in internal committees, and represent SAMRU as members of provincial and federal advocacy groups. This is an excellent professional development opportunity for an MRU student looking to make a difference on campus!

The completed package must be submitted to Shauna Hunter, Chief Returning Officer (CRO) by email at elections@samru.ca between January 4th, 2023, and February 22nd, 2023. Note that applications will not be accepted later than February 22nd, 2023, at 4:30 PM.
