In collaboration with a student-led project and Rainbow Elders Calgary, SAMRU is happy to bring a penpal program to MRU. Rainbow Post works to create and foster a connection between LGBTQ+ seniors and MRU students. With the fatigue that comes from screen time use, having a pen pal can create an outlet for creativity and genuine connection. Students who are interested in taking part in the program are invited to register through this Google Form before March 19 at noon. Once seniors and students have registered and shown interest in the program, they will be matched as penpals and sent a welcome package from Rainbow Post.  All information will remain confidential, with the exception of your name, pronouns, mailing address, and bio, which will be shared with your matched pen pal. LGBTQ+ allies are also welcome to participate in the program! 

Register by March 19, 2021, to be matched up with a senior in the community to foster genuine, fulfilling and much-needed connections during these trying times.
