REC BBQ & Welcome Carnival
Welcome back to campus! Stop by the East Gate Lawn on Thursday, September 15, 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm for a free hot dog, chips, and pop, courtesy of the SAMRU Representation Executive Council (REC). This is a great chance to meet your REC team, learn what they have been working on over the summer, and let them know the issues that matter to you most!
In previous years, the Welcome Carnival and the REC BBQ have been distinct events. To better connect with and serve students, SAMRU and the Department of Student Experience are working together to host the bigger, better Welcome Back Carnival & REC BBQ.
For those who are new to Mount Royal, this is a good way to get to know the student government and learn about what your campus has to offer. For returning students, it’s a chance to meet the new REC team and put a bug in their ear about what you’d like to see happen this year. Enjoy the free food, live music, and the autumn sunshine, and enter to win some great prizes!
