Student Governing Board Application Deadline

Consider nominating yourself for a seat on SAMRU’s Student Governing Board (SGB)!

Members of the SGB are student leaders who have the opportunity to inform the operations and representation efforts of their Student’s Association by providing direction to SAMRU’s Executive Director and Representation Executive Council.

By joining the Board, students will get develop a clear understanding of how a multi-million dollar organization operates, learn the nuances of operating a registered charity, gain an appreciation of the intricacies of representation and advocacy, and receive in-depth training on governance and financial oversight.

This is a great professional development opportunity for interested students, as they get a chance to make a real difference in the lives of MRU students and receive training that will be beneficial for years to come, for a relatively low time commitment each month.
