FREE SAMRU Care Packages available for in-person pickup

As a Mount Royal University student, you are a member of the Student’s Association (SAMRU). Your membership gives you access to all of our barrier-free food security programs and services and much more.

SAMRU cares and we are here for you! We have temporarily relocated funds to ensure students don’t have to experience food insecurity during this trying time. SAMRU Care Packages are free, ready-to-take, single bag hampers that contain non-perishable and hygiene supplies. Care Packages will be temporarily replacing our Free Breakfast Program and the Food and Hygiene Cupboard program.

Students can drop by the SAMRU Services Hub (Z222) to pick up their Care Package from 11-4 p.m. Monday to Friday. We’ll be monitoring the demand for packages to ensure we have enough supplies to serve students. You may call ahead and we can set aside a package with your name on it.

To secure your free SAMRU food and hygiene hamper, email: psc@samru.ca, reception@samru.ca, or call 403-440-6077. Please bring your student ID to pick up your hamper.

Additional food security programs brought to you by SAMRU:
