You probably feel some ‘re-leaf’ that it’s finally Spring. The end of the semester is approaching, the weather is getting warmer, and soon the flowers will start blossoming. To welcome that Spring feeling and do some relaxing with nature, check out these upcoming events!

MRU Sustainability Fair
March 30 and 31 | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Campus Main Street
Mount Royal’s 2022 Sustainability Fair is about to kick-off! Take a stroll down Main Street between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to see the displays and learn more about sustainability. There will also be a number of speakers talking about different sustainability topics – check out the speaker names and topics and register for any that you’re interested in.

Hoping to flex your green thumb this spring and summer? Get involved with the MRU Community Garden! The MRU community garden runs from May to late September and is an opportunity for student volunteers to help with seedlings, planting, clean-up, weeding, harvesting, community garden workshops and celebrations. Come take a look at the display and sign up to be a volunteer!

Totally Terrarium!
March 31, 2022 | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Campus Main Street
SAMRU and Sustainable MRU are offering a terrarium workshop! SAMRU will provide all materials and care instructions. Each workshop session will run for 30 minutes, and you’ll plant a terrarium to take home. There will be no charge for participation, but there are limited spots, so make sure to register if you haven’t already.

Climate Change Book Display
March 27 – April 2, 2022 | Riddell Library
Riddell Library will have a sustainability-themed book display set up on the second floor of the building. This display aims to bring awareness to the issue of global climate change.
