SAMRU knows that students have the capacity to envision and affect change far beyond the scope of their education. That’s why the Representation Executive Council (REC) hosts Student Connect, an event that allows the student thought leaders of Mount Royal to engage in face-to-face conversations with MLAs, MPs, City Councillors and other change makers.

Student Connect gives students and politicians the opportunity to make connections and communicate in order to work together on the causes that unite them.

Who is invited:  Albertan MLAs, Canadian MPs, Calgary City Councillors, and some of the best and brightest students from Mount Royal University.

Media: The only media that will be invited to attend will be on-campus media including the school newspaper, The Reflector, and The Calgary Journal.

What to expect: Expect interesting, captivating, and inspiring conversations with Canadian politicians and emerging MRU student leaders about being citizens in Canada today.
