For fans of Friday Afternoon Jazz in The Hub, April 4th, 2014 will come as a bittersweet day. As the Credit Jazz Performance Program ends at Mount Royal University, so too will these talented student musicians bid their fond farewells at the final performance in Wyckham House.

Friday Afternoon Jazz started in 2013 as a fantastic way for students to get real-life experience in front of a live audience, while still on campus. For Jazz fans at Mount Royal University as well as across Calgary, Friday Afternoon Jazz was a chance to check out the next generation of Canadian Jazz musicians – while enjoying The Hub’s ever-evolving menu and relaxed atmosphere. With no cover charge, Friday Afternoon Jazz has also been an affordable early-evening activity to wind down after a hectic work or school week.

If you support the arts in Alberta, want to show your love for these talented student musicians, or just want to relax this Friday with some great tunes, please add the final Friday Afternoon Jazz to your calendar, and come show some love for Jazz!
