Every semester Joli Fou has a social event to connect with other students, an event to meet the professors in the geology department, and multiple academic events such as resume building, and meet and greets with professionals in the industry.

The purpose of Joli Fou Geological Society is to connect geology students with other geoscience students inter-universally, to promote professional relationships with geoscientists in and around Calgary, and to sponsor and maintain extracurricular programs that benefit geology students academically and socially.
