The SAMRU Food and Hygiene Drive aims to supplement the Main Care Cupboard in the Peer Support Centre with donations from the MRU community. These donations will help us to ensure that SAMRU has enough food and hygiene products to meet the growing need for care packages!

The donation period will be between November 18 and December 9.

Targeted food items include:

• Peanut butter*
• Canned fruit*
• Cereal and gluten-free cereal*
• White rice
• Eggs*
• Canned meat and vegetables*

Targeted hygiene products include:

• Pads*
• Toothbrushes and toothpaste
• Razors
• Shampoo* and conditioner*
• Body wash*
• Deodorant*

* = high demand item

Donations can be dropped off anytime at the Peer Support Centre (Z210) or at our tabling events on November 19, 21, 26, 28, and December 3, 5, 2024.
