Mitch Belot entertains with his swampy story telling style and modern rock flare. He hooks audiences with his powerful, smoky voice, and gets them on their feet by incorporating fast tempos and heavy grooves. While he is first and foremost a humble student of the blues, Mitch adds a taste of rock to the naturally ear pleasing sound that permeates his repertoire. SAMRU is excited to present Last Band Standing – a battle of the bands contest for MRU bands! 2016 is the Year of Music in Calgary, so it’s a great time to showcase some of the talent on offer at MRU. The eight finalists will perform at the Hub over three showcases in March. That’s where you come in: the audience will decide by votes which band will take home the grand prize of four hours of free studio time…and play the opening set at Last Class Bash!Showcases
