Pow Wow
Mount Royal and SAMRU are excited to host the annual Pow Wow on Saturday, Nov. 7. This is a sacred social gathering that honours the traditions and culture of Indigenous peoples through song, dance and drumming. Everyone is welcome to take part in this culturally significant family-friendly event with dinner and vendors included.

Fresh Routes: Mobile Grocery Store
A convenient and affordable way to get fresh produce, the Mobile Grocery Store is done in partnership with Fresh Routes and will run throughout the Fall and Winter semesters on Tuesdays from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm in Wyckham House!

Talking Circles are an essential part of Indigenous cultures; they encourage dialogue and allow for connection among participants. The Tea and Bannock Talking Circle invites students to meet people and enjoy tea and bannock while participating in discussions on a wide variety of Indigenous and international issues impacting various communities.
Cultures Of MRU: Performance Showcase
Join us in Wyckham House for the Cultures of MRU performance showcase, where we celebrate the rich diversity of Mount Royal University, a monthly event showcasing the unique traditions, art, and stories from cultures around the world.
Wellness Wind Down
Wellness Wind Down collaborates with Queer-safe psychologist Dr. Janet Miller from Wellness Services on campus. Students will gather weekly to wind down from the week, chat, and hang out in a supportive setting.
Drum, Dine, and Discuss
Drum, Dine, and Discuss happens on Thursdays from 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm and is open to everyone on campus. Drumming is a great way to reduce stress through making music! Beginners and participants of all experience levels are welcome to join.
